HJ212 Instrument Data Collection to Pollution Source Supervision Platform Solution

Published: 2026-05-23 11:28:55

At a wastewater treatment plant in an industrial park, which is responsible for treating wastewater from dozens of chemical companies in the area, multiple water quality monitoring instruments (using the HJ212 communication protocol) have been deployed—including COD, ammonia nitrogen, pH, and flow meters. These instruments need to report data to the pollution source supervision platform for real-time monitoring and statistical analysis, helping to guide pollution control efforts more effectively.

To address this, WideIOT provides a lightweight IoT solution for data collection. By deploying an environmental protection data acquisition terminal connected to the water quality monitors, the system can collect real-time data on COD, ammonia nitrogen, pH, flow rate, etc., and upload it to the pollution source supervision platform via 4G networks. This enables remote monitoring, alerting, management, statistical analysis, and other functions for wastewater data, ensuring timely detection of anomalies and providing data-driven support for pollution control.

Functions Implemented

1. Real-time collection of various water quality indicators, with data transmission to the management platform via 5G/4G networks using protocols such as SL651, Modbus, and HJ212. Features include resumption of interrupted transmission, multi-network backup, and security protection.

2. Remote platform for real-time data analysis and processing, displaying data through charts and trend curves. Combined with GIS technology, monitoring point locations and water quality status are marked on maps, making it easy for management personnel to monitor regional water quality at any time.

3. Built-in threshold library for water quality standards, enabling real-time data comparison and analysis. When a threshold is exceeded, alerts are triggered and notifications are sent to relevant personnel via on-screen prompts, SMS, email, and WeChat to prevent water quality deterioration.

4. Long-term storage of water quality data to build a historical database. Management personnel can flexibly set conditions for data queries, analyze long-term water quality trends, and obtain data support for treatment plans, enabling scientific and informed decision-making.
