Visual Monitoring and Management System Solution for Domestic Water Pump Room and Water Tank

Published: 2026-06-05 11:16:52

In a highrise commercial building, domestic water pump rooms and water tanks are installed in the basement and intermediate transfer floors, with additional water tanks on the roof to ensure stable water supply to all floors. In the past, routine inspections and meter readings were performed manually, and data had to be immediately compiled into the management platform after each inspection. This approach resulted in heavy workloads, low efficiency, and slow response to faults.

To address these challenges, WideIOT deploys PLC industrial gateways that connect to PLCs, liquid level meters, water quality analyzers, and other equipment. These gateways collect realtime data on pump status, water pressure, flow rate, water quality, and more, and transmit the data to the management platform via 5G/4G or Ethernet. This enables remote monitoring, online inspections, fault alarms, remote control, maintenance management, and data analysis, providing intelligent support for pump room inspection and maintenance while ensuring safe and reliable water supply.

Key Features

Collects and uploads realtime data to the management platform, including pump operation status (start/stop, frequency, current, voltage), pipeline water pressure, tank liquid level, outlet flow rate, and water quality parameters (residual chlorine, turbidity, pH, etc.). Supports functions such as data resumption after disconnection and multinetwork backup.

Allows flexible configuration of alarm rules. When monitored data exceeds preset thresholds, alarms are automatically triggered and notifications are sent via multiple channels (e.g., WeChat, SMS, email) to relevant personnel, enabling rapid fault locating, diagnosis, and response.

The gateway supports both data collection and upload as well as command transmission. Engineers can be authorized to perform operations such as pump start/stop and valve switching. All remote operations are logged for audit and traceability purposes.

Establishes equipment maintenance records, documenting fault causes, repair measures, completion time, and other information for each device. Full lifecycle management helps extend equipment service life, maintain good operating conditions, and ensure safe and stable water supply.

Implements a maintenance work order management mechanism for inspection and maintenance of pumps, variable frequency drives, motors, water tanks, and other equipment. Supports work order creation, assignment, review, return, and acceptance, helping to properly allocate maintenance personnel and workloads.

Generates visual reports based on water consumption, equipment operating hours, water quality, and other data. These reports help understand building water usage patterns, identify highload equipment, trace water quality anomalies, and support datadriven decisionmaking.
