Remote Monitoring Solution for Hydrogen Generator Data Acquisition

Published: 2026-08-08 11:20:32
Hydrogen generators are industrial devices used to produce hydrogen as a new energy source. On-site installations typically include online hydrogen monitoring systems to track key production metrics such as oxygen content, purity, and humidity in real time, while also monitoring equipment parameters like pressure, voltage, and current—all of which are critical to safe hydrogen production.
To address these needs, WideIOT has developed a remote monitoring solution for hydrogen generator data acquisition based on IoT gateways. By connecting the hydrogen generator's PLC to the IoT gateway, the system performs real-time data collection and uploads the information to either a cloud platform or a local monitoring center. This enables fault alerts, remote control, and remote maintenance, helping enterprises better manage production processes and prevent hazardous incidents.

The system provides real-time online monitoring and alarm capabilities for production parameters (concentration, flow rate, pressure, etc.), station environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.), and host process parameters (separation pressure, process concentration, solenoid valve status, etc.). Alerts can be delivered via WeChat, SMS, email, and other channels. This allows management to respond promptly to issues, while engineers can perform remote programming, debugging, and program uploads/downloads, thereby improving both management efficiency and operational productivity.

System Features

Real-Time Monitoring: By leveraging the gateway for data collection and transmission, the system continuously monitors the operating status of hydrogen generators and responds quickly to anomalies, enhancing equipment efficiency.

Efficient Control: With edge computing technology, computational power is deployed at the network edge, enabling more efficient data analysis and processing. This results in more precise control over the hydrogen generator PLC.

Reliability and Security: Features such as multi-network backup and data resumption after disconnection ensure the stability and reliability of data collection and transmission. Additionally, firewalls and whitelist mechanisms strengthen network security.

Green and Energy-Efficient: By collecting energy consumption data from hydrogen generators, the system enables automated energy management and regulation, reducing waste and improving overall energy efficiency—contributing to a greener and more sustainable hydrogen station operation.
