Solution Overview

The shop floor consists of multiple machining cells (each comprising a CNC, an industrial robot, and a PLC). Both the CNC machines and industrial robots are equipped with Fanuc controllers, while the PLCs come from brands including Siemens, Omron, and Mitsubishi. WideIOT deploys industrial IoT gateways at each cell to collect real-time operational status and process parameters from every piece of equipment. The data is then transmitted to the MES system over 5G networks, enabling visual monitoring, alerting, management, control, and statistical analysis of production operations.

This effectively reduces the load on the MES server and network bandwidth, ensuring stable system performance even under high-concurrency conditions.

Comprehensive KPIs are aggregated, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), utilization rate, downtime rate, tool life, alarm frequency, and daily/weekly production reports. These metrics help management quickly identify production bottlenecks, make informed production scheduling decisions, and optimize resource allocation, providing a solid data foundation for lean manufacturing initiatives.
