Emergency Power Vehicle Data Integration Solution for Emergency Management Authority Platforms

Published: 2026-07-22 11:08:36
China is steadily advancing the modernization of its emergency management systems and capabilities, with a strong focus on strengthening coordination across critical areas such as power supply assurance, communication connectivity, material dispatch, and emergency rescue operations. Emergency power vehicles serve as vital mobile power assets during sudden disasters, major event power protection, and urban lifeline support. Increasingly, information regarding their operational status, geographic location, and maintenance records must be integrated into emergency management authority platforms to enable optimized resource deployment and rapid response, ensuring power security across all mission-critical operations.

To address this need, WideIOT has developed a vehicle-mounted industrial gateway that combines low-power design, multi-protocol data acquisition, wireless communication (5G/4G/BeiDou), edge computing, and remote management capabilities. This gateway enables emergency power vehicle data to be reported to both emergency authority platforms and enterprise management systems, providing comprehensive, reliable technical support for vehicle monitoring, maintenance, and coordinated dispatch.

The gateway supports connectivity to a wide range of onboard equipment, including generator sets, fuel level sensors, battery management systems (BMS), ambient temperature and humidity sensors, GPS/BeiDou positioning modules, and video cameras. It collects multidimensional data in real time—such as output voltage, current, frequency, fuel level, runtime, fault codes, geographic location, and on-site video footage—and transmits it via 5G/4G networks to emergency management authority platforms and enterprise management systems. This creates a real-time, accurate data foundation for emergency command and dispatch systems to track the status of each power vehicle.

The device features a wide-temperature design, wide-range voltage input, and shock- and vibration-resistant construction. It can be powered by the vehicle's own electrical system or by an onboard battery, and is engineered to withstand harsh operating conditions including extreme temperatures, high humidity, and high altitudes. The gateway also incorporates state-certified cryptographic algorithms and security authentication mechanisms, ensuring secure integration with both national and local emergency command centers, with full-chain data security from collection and transmission to application.

Application Scenarios

Power Assurance Monitoring at Major Disaster Sites
In disaster zones affected by floods, earthquakes, typhoons, and similar events, the vehicle-mounted gateway continuously collects and uploads real-time data on power output, remaining fuel, operational status, and location to the emergency command platform. This assists command centers in assessing on-site power support capabilities, intelligently dispatching nearby power resources, and ensuring that rescue and relief equipment remains operational.

Critical Event Support and Urban Lifeline Protection
For essential facilities such as major conferences, hospitals, and data centers, the gateway enables clustered monitoring of multiple power vehicles, providing unified status reporting and remote inspection capabilities. When voltage fluctuations, overloads, or fault alarms are detected, the platform instantly generates alert events and notifies maintenance personnel, ensuring uninterrupted power supply with zero-latency response.

Remote Dispatch and Maintenance Management of Power Vehicles
The gateway supports multi-center data distribution, allowing emergency power vehicle data to be simultaneously reported to both enterprise management platforms and emergency authority platforms. This enables online creation, assignment, execution, and review of maintenance work orders, with completion results fed back into the system. The result is a closed-loop management process—from monitoring and alerting to dispatch and feedback—that ensures reliable and safe equipment operation, ready for deployment whenever needed.
