In the medical field, the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is increasingly demonstrating its importance.

Oxygen concentrators, as devices capable of enriching and producing oxygen from the atmosphere, are indispensable resources in medical settings, industrial production, and high-altitude regions. The normal operation of oxygen concentrators is crucial for product quality. Questions such as how to swiftly maintain the equipment in case of failures and how to optimize equipment capacity have become issues that equipment manufacturers must address.

To tackle these challenges, we propose a solution for data collection and remote monitoring of oxygen concentrators via IoT.

This solution involves deploying WideIOT industrial smart gateways at the sites where oxygen concentrators are located. These gateways collect real-time operational data from the equipment and transmit it to a cloud server via wireless communication technologies (5G/4G). Enterprises can then log in to corresponding WeChat mini-programs or web-based interfaces to view equipment operational information anytime and anywhere, enabling remote monitoring and intelligent management to ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment.

System Functionalities

  1. Data Collection
    • Real-time collection of data such as oxygen output, concentration, working pressure, operating temperature, air flow rate, cooling water volume, power, and voltage from oxygen concentrators, operating 24/7.
  2. Remote Monitoring
    • The gateway supports uploading data to the cloud via 5G/4G, allowing monitoring of process parameters and equipment status on mobile and computer terminals, with visual chart and curve displays to view equipment operation and fault statuses.
  3. Abnormal Alerts
    • When collected process parameters exceed predefined limits or equipment fault signals are detected, the system automatically notifies via WeChat, SMS, or email, providing information on the faulty equipment, time of fault, and type of fault.
  4. Remote Operations
    • The gateway can issue instructions to remotely control PLC devices and enable remote programming, debugging, and uploading/downloading of programs for PLCs located elsewhere, ensuring timely control and stable equipment operation.
  5. Data Analysis
    • Managers can view data charts across different time periods and data types, analyze real-time data or trends, and better guide production and maintenance operations, thereby enhancing production stability.
