Integrated Power Distribution Cabin IoT Data Acquisition Solution

Published: 2026-11-03 17:07:33
As the hub of power distribution, power distribution rooms are mainly responsible for power transfer and distribution. Their core equipment includes transformers, high and low-voltage switch cabinets, capacitors and other components. In the traditional mode, such equipment is purchased separately by service providers and delivered to on-site stations for installation, which usually requires a long construction period. In contrast, the integrated power distribution cabin is pre-assembled with all equipment inside a container at the factory. After being transported to the site as a whole, it can be put into operation rapidly. Featuring high flexibility, convenience and short deployment cycle, it has become a critical infrastructure for power supply and distribution scenarios such as rural areas and outdoor sites.

The upgrade of equipment also drives the development of operation and maintenance systems. Enterprises demand remote monitoring and centralized management of integrated power distribution cabins across the country, so as to allocate manpower and resources flexibly. This ensures safe and stable power supply and distribution, while effectively cutting operation and maintenance costs and improving work efficiency.

System Architecture

1. Device Layer
Taking each power distribution cabin as the main unit, this layer consists of temperature and humidity sensors, power meters, power transformation and distribution systems, cameras and other devices to perceive and monitor the real-time operating status of on-site equipment.
2. Transmission Layer
Industrial data acquisition gateways are deployed to connect to the above devices for real-time collection of equipment status, power data and environmental data. The gateways communicate with the cloud server via 5G/4G networks.
3. Platform Layer
The enterprise equipment operation and maintenance management platform receives and parses the uploaded data and delivers visual processing. It supports monitoring, alarm notification, management, control, maintenance and data analysis functions.

Implemented Functions

1. Collect equipment and environmental data inside the distribution cabin, including key parameters of transformers and switch cabinets, as well as cabin temperature, humidity, smoke and other indicators. Combined with high-definition cameras, the system realizes dual monitoring of **data + video**, keeping track of operating conditions in real time and reducing misjudgment.

2. The system automatically triggers abnormal equipment alarms according to preset alarm rules, and pushes notifications to designated managers through multiple channels including WeChat, SMS and email. Meanwhile, the whole alarm process is automatically recorded to form an account log, supporting timely risk handling and subsequent traceability.

3. Based on information such as cabin location and equipment status, managers can generate maintenance work orders and assign them to appropriate maintenance personnel. The system supports work order progress tracking and upload of completion documents, building closed-loop management and optimizing resource allocation.

4. Perform statistical analysis on collected data and generate multi-dimensional reports covering equipment operation trends and fault distribution. Data can be exported and shared to support equipment upgrading, maintenance optimization and budget planning, facilitating the shift toward data-driven management.

5. Role-based access control is configured for different management roles, ensuring each user can only access functions within their scope of responsibility. All user operations are logged for security audit, to standardize operations and protect system data security.
