IoT Solution for Dust Monitoring in Pulverized Coal Production Workshops

Published: 2026-11-02 16:46:40
In the pulverized coal production process, in addition to the coal powder that is centrally collected, some coal dust may still escape into the surrounding environment. Once it encounters an open flame, static electricity, or similar ignition sources, it can very easily cause an explosion. By connecting industrial smart gateways to dust removal equipment controller PLCs, the system can collect real-time equipment operating parameters—including temperature, the air-lock ash discharge device, oxygen content, start/stop status, differential air pressure, water level, and flow signals. This data is transmitted via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet to cloud platforms or host systems, ensuring that abnormal data triggers automatic alerts and notifies the enterprise for timely handling—preventing unexpected accidents.

Functions

Enables data acquisition from dust removal equipment, providing on-demand visibility into temperature, the air-lock ash discharge device, oxygen content, start/stop status, differential air pressure, water level, and flow signals—presented as visualized data charts.

Connects to sensors for real-time monitoring of workshop dust levels and dust removal equipment, and automatically triggers alerts when abnormal data is detected—notifying the enterprise for timely handling through audible and visual alarms, mobile phones, SMS, WeChat, and other channels.

Supports expanded connectivity to air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, fans, solenoid valves, and other equipment for remote control—enabling adjustment of operating modes or remote start/stop control to ensure flexible and rapid response to abnormalities.

Integrates relevant data into regulatory department platforms, ensuring secure and reliable data transmission and communication—better facilitating law enforcement supervision and strengthening safety production standards.

Aggregates equipment operating parameters, alarm data, and other information to assess equipment safety risks and trends—enabling timely maintenance and upkeep work to ensure safe equipment operation.
