Remote Monitoring System for Airport Drainage Pump Stations

Published: 2026-10-28 11:46:48
Airports are mostly built in flat terrain and feature hardened surfaces to support aircraft takeoff and landing as well as the operation of various airport facilities. In recent years, extreme weather events such as typhoons and heavy rainstorms have become increasingly frequent. If an airport experiences intense rainfall but cannot drain water promptly, waterlogging disasters can occur—affecting normal airport operations and even causing serious accidents and losses.

With the growing adoption of smart water management, airport drainage pump stations are increasingly being brought into the scope of these applications. This can effectively replace manual labor for pump station monitoring and maintenance—improving work efficiency and management standards while ensuring the safe and reliable operation of airport drainage systems. To address this, WideIOT offers a highly efficient and reliable remote monitoring and unattended operation system solution for drainage pump stations. It enables remote monitoring and precise management across the entire process—from rainwater collection and storage tank monitoring to drainage pump control—strengthening airport drainage safety management capabilities.

Functions

Connects to pump station PLCs, water level gauges, flow meters, cameras, and other devices, collecting real-time equipment data and integrating it into the airport drainage management platform via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet. This enables real-time monitoring of pump, valve, and other equipment operating status and switching times, as well as pipe network water pressure, storage tank water levels, and drainage flow rates.

Configurable intelligent alarm rules automatically send notifications via WeChat, SMS, or email when abnormal data is detected—enabling rapid identification of fault causes and timely corrective action. Users can remotely start/stop pumps and open/close valves to reasonably mitigate risk incidents and ensure safe, reliable drainage operations.

Visualized SCADA interfaces and data dashboards for each airport pump station provide intuitive access to critical information—such as station details, operating status, real-time parameters, alarm frequency, and maintenance records—presented as data reports or trend charts, enabling centralized monitoring and resource scheduling to ensure safe and stable pump station operation.

Monitoring data from multiple pump stations can be aggregated onto a single platform, with remote access via mobile and PC. Electronic work orders can be quickly generated for rational dispatch of inspection, repair, and maintenance tasks, with records of operation logs and processing progress—building an equipment maintenance knowledge base and improving maintenance standards.
