Remote Monitoring System Solution for Booster Pump Stations

As critical urban infrastructure, booster pump stations play an increasingly important role in people's daily lives and production activities. However, the traditional coarse management model for these stations is no longer sufficient to meet the demands for efficient pump management, water quality monitoring, and water volume supervision. To address these challenges, WideIOT has developed a remote monitoring system for booster pump stations based on 4G industrial gateways—an effective solution to overcome these limitations.

This solution uses WideIOT's 4G industrial gateways to connect to sensors, pumps, water meters, power meters, cameras, and other equipment within the pump station. It collects real-time data including voltage, current, inlet/outlet water pressure, and flow rate, and uploads it to the cloud platform. The system enables remote monitoring, anomaly alerts, and equipment management, thereby improving operational efficiency and service quality while supporting the transition to unattended booster pump stations.

System Functions:

Collects real-time monitoring data on temperature, humidity, water pressure, water level, flow rate, water quality, and other parameters via connected sensors.
Captures live video feeds from cameras and allows for snapshot retri to provide visual oversight of the pump station.
Monitors power supply voltage, current, and consumption in real time through water and power meter data acquisition.
Tracks valve open/close status, equipment start/stop states, and online/offline conditions via the device management platform.
Continuously monitors PLC operating status and provides fault alerts with automatic notifications via WeChat, SMS, and email.
With the remote maintenance feature, engineers can perform PLC program uploads/downloads, remote programming, and debugging from anywhere, at any time.

Gateway Features:

Built-in 4G/5G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet communication modules, compatible with all major carrier networks—flexibly configurable to suit diverse environments and connectivity needs.
Provides multiple interface types including Ethernet ports, serial ports, and DI/DO, supporting connections to PLCs, instruments, CNC machines, industrial robots, and more. Supports rapid parsing and conversion of various PLC protocols, power protocols, and environmental protection protocols.
Compatible with WideIOT's own cloud platform, custom-developed clouds, and third-party clouds such as Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and Baidu Cloud. Offers development documentation for quick integration and deployment, and supports on-premises private deployment as well as customized feature development.
Performs edge computing for data filtering and cleansing, reducing cloud server load and operational costs.
Features such as multi-network backup, data resumption after disconnection, IP whitelisting, and firewall protection ensure data transmission security and integrity.
