Solution Overview

1. Device Connectivity and Data Collection
Each piece of dispensing equipment is equipped with a WideIOT industrial smart gateway. The gateway offers abundant serial and Ethernet ports and is compatible with PLC protocols from major brands such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron. It collects key process parameters in real time, including dispensing pressure, dispensing volume, pump status, glue tank weight, curing status, temperature, and equipment operating/fault status.

2. Network Transmission and Platform Integration
The gateway supports wireless connectivity via 5G/4G and uses the MQTT protocol to transmit collected data securely and reliably to the company's cloud-based operation and maintenance management platform, enabling seamless integration between equipment and digital systems. The gateway also features auto-reconnection after network drops and store-and-forward with resumption, ensuring data integrity with zero loss.

3. Edge Computing and Online Management
With built-in edge computing capabilities, the gateway performs local data filtering, alarm calculation, and formula-based computation, effectively reducing load on the cloud server. Management personnel can monitor the real-time operating status, process parameters, and alarm/maintenance information of each dispensing machine via data dashboards, mobile phones, or PCs, and can also create maintenance work orders online.

4. Remote Maintenance and Fault Diagnosis
When equipment faults occur, engineers can use WideIOT's Device Maintenance Express to establish a secure and stable network tunnel for remote PLC operations—including program upload/download, online programming and debugging, and fault diagnosis—without needing to be on-site. This significantly reduces fault response time, minimizes travel for on-site service calls, and substantially lowers after-sales operation and maintenance costs.
