If data cannot be uploaded to the cloud platform during such interruptions, it can create significant challenges for subsequent data recording and analysis.
To address this issue, WideIOT offers industrial IoT gateways with built-in breakpoint resume functionality. These gateways are capable of collecting, processing, and transmitting data from a wide range of devices, including PLCs, instruments, industrial robots, CNC machine tools, and more. Breakpoint resume technology ensures that when a network connection is interrupted, the gateway records the point where the data transmission was halted. Once the connection is re-established, it resumes the unfinished task and retransmits all data that should have been sent during the outage, thereby ensuring data integrity and completeness.
1. Data Acquisition: The IoT gateway connects to various PLCs and sensors via serial ports or Ethernet ports, enabling real-time data collection from the industrial site. It supports network connectivity via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet.
2. Multi-Network Redundancy: The gateway continuously monitors network status. When it detects that the current network is down, it automatically switches to an alternative network to ensure uninterrupted data collection and transmission.
3. Automatic Reconnection: Upon detecting a network interruption, the gateway immediately stores the collected data in its local memory and continuously monitors the communication link, automatically reconnecting when the network becomes available.
4. Breakpoint Resume: After the network is restored, the gateway transmits the locally stored data to the corresponding system platform, ensuring that no data is lost during the disconnection period and guaranteeing complete and secure data delivery.
