Data Acquisition System Solution for Air Compressors

Published: 2026-09-05 16:30:24
Air compressors are widely used across various industries as critical sources of power. Their operating status directly affects production efficiency, equipment lifespan, and energy consumption levels. However, traditional air compressor management approaches often rely on manual on-site inspections, which are inefficient, prone to data delays, and unable to provide early warning of potential faults. To address these challenges, WideIOT offers a comprehensive data acquisition system solution that enables remote monitoring, intelligent alerting, and data-driven maintenance for air compressors.

By connecting air compressor PLCs, sensors, meters, and other devices to WideIOT industrial smart gateways, the system collects real-time operating parameters—including pressure, temperature, flow rate, current, voltage, and cumulative runtime. The data is transmitted via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet to cloud platforms or local host systems, enabling visualized monitoring, fault alarming, remote control, and remote maintenance.

System Functions

Real-Time Data Acquisition – Continuously collects key operating parameters such as outlet pressure, temperature, flow rate, motor current, voltage, and running hours, providing full visibility into equipment performance.

Remote Monitoring and Visualization – Users can view real-time equipment status and historical trends on dashboards via PC or mobile devices, with support for custom charts and reports.

Fault Alerts and Notifications – Configurable alarm thresholds automatically trigger alerts via WeChat, SMS, or email when parameters exceed safe ranges—such as overpressure, overheating, or abnormal current—enabling rapid response.

Remote Control and Maintenance – Supports remote start/stop and parameter adjustments. With the Remote Maintenance Tunnel, engineers can also perform remote PLC programming, debugging, and program upload/download from anywhere, significantly reducing service response time and travel costs.

Data Analytics and Optimization – Through statistical analysis of operating data, the system identifies patterns, predicts maintenance needs, and supports decisions for energy savings and operational improvements.

Asset and Maintenance Management – Provides centralized visibility into device distribution, operational status, and maintenance histories, facilitating efficient resource scheduling and full lifecycle equipment management.
