Flood early warning broadcasting is a dedicated public address system designed to deliver timely and accurate alert information to communities when heavy rainfall, floods, or other disasters strike. As a critical component of the national emergency broadcasting framework for flood control and disaster relief, it is widely regarded as the "last mile" safeguard for protecting people's lives and property.
Typically, a flood early warning monitoring station consists of water level gauges, rain gauges, wireless communication modules, power supplies, and warning broadcast terminals. These components work together to form a complete closedloop process—from realtime monitoring of rainfall and water levels, to thresholdbased alerting, and finally to voice broadcast dissemination. Such stations are extensively deployed along rivers, reservoirs, levees, and in lowlying rural areas—wherever flood risks are most pressing. As a result, centralized and efficient information management of these distributed sites is essential.

To address this need, WideIOT offers a costeffective and userfriendly hydrological and water conservancy gateway (RTU). This device supports connectivity with water level gauges, rain gauges, cameras, power supplies (solar panels/batteries), and early warning broadcast terminals. It provides a 4G wireless uplink channel for transmitting hydrological data, realtime video, and equipment operation parameters to supervisory platforms at the SL651 level or higher. This enables remote monitoring, alerting, management, control, and data analysis of flood conditions, significantly enhancing emergency response capabilities and management efficiency while helping to mitigate flood risks and minimize potential casualties and property damage.

Compliant with hydrological protocols including SL651, SL427, and SZY206, as well as uplink protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and HTTP, ensuring seamless integration with water conservancy supervision platforms at all levels and thirdparty management systems.

Equipped with RS232/RS485, Ethernet, and I/O interfaces, allowing simultaneous connection to water level gauges, rain gauges, cameras, broadcast terminals, and more. Supports customisable data acquisition intervals and alert rules.

Supports multiple communication options including 5G/4G, WiFi, Ethernet, and LoRa, making it adaptable to various geographic environments. Its lowpower design is wellsuited for solar or batterypowered installations, extending the runtime of fielddeployed equipment.

Operates reliably over a wide voltage and temperature range (6–35V, 20°C to 70°C), with a rugged industrial housing and builtin EMC protection. An integrated watchdog timer and autoreconnect mechanism ensure fault selfrecovery, making it ideal for longterm unattended operation in harsh outdoor conditions.

Features storeandforward functionality with data retransmission upon network recovery, ensuring no loss of hydrological data. Additionally, it supports remote configuration, diagnostics, and firmware upgrades for both the gateway and connected frontend devices, significantly reducing maintenance costs for distributed monitoring sites.
