A sampling machine is a specialized piece of equipment installed alongside railway tracks or automobile transportation routes. It is capable of automatically performing a series of sample preparation processes on bulk materials in carriages, such as coal, ores, and grains. These processes include iron removal, conveying, weighing, crushing, splitting, pulverizing, drying, packaging, and waste sample recovery. By utilizing a mechanized sampling head that penetrates into the material, the sampling machine collects representative samples according to pre-set sampling point distributions and depths, and then conveys them to subsequent sample preparation systems for processing.

Currently, most enterprises still rely on traditional PLC local control modes for their sampling machines, with data storage and processing confined to the equipment itself. This leads to significant issues such as severe data silos, lack of remote monitoring, and delayed operation and maintenance responses. Therefore, enterprises urgently need to leverage IoT technology to break down data barriers, enabling real-time data acquisition, remote transmission, centralized control, and intelligent analysis of PLC data from sampling machines, thereby laying a solid foundation for their digital transformation.

Solution

WideIoT addresses these challenges by deploying edge computing gateways that connect to controller PLCs. These gateways enable real-time acquisition of the operational status and working parameters of sampling machines. They facilitate seamless integration with cloud platforms or upper-level computers via 5G/4G/WIFI/Ethernet connections, thereby enabling functions such as remote equipment monitoring, fault alarms, remote control, and statistical analysis. This provides comprehensive data support for production management, assisting in making scientific and reasonable decisions.

Implemented Functions

Real-time Data Acquisition: The solution enables real-time collection of data from sampling machine PLCs, including operational parameters, sampling data, and fault information. Through protocol conversion and multi-link transmission capabilities, this data is promptly and accurately transmitted to the management platform.

Visual Data Display: The management platform presents the acquired sampling machine data in a visual format using dashboards, trend curves, and data reports. This provides an intuitive overview of the operational status of each sampling machine, trends in sampling data, and fault alarm information.

Remote Monitoring: Managers can log in to the management platform via computers or mobile devices to remotely monitor the operational status of sampling machines in real time. This includes checking whether the equipment is online, whether operational parameters are normal, and whether any faults exist.

Fault Alarming: In the event of equipment failure, the system instantly pushes fault alarm information (e.g., via SMS, WeChat, email) to managers. They can then remotely view fault codes and related data to quickly pinpoint the cause of the fault.

API Data Integration: The solution provides API data interfaces to facilitate integration with enterprise management systems such as MES, ERP, and WMS. This enables the sharing and fusion of sampling machine data with data related to production planning, inventory management, and quality control.
